Q: How long do treatments last?

A: Initial visits require about 60-75 minutes.  Follow up visits typically last from 45 – 60 min.

Q: Do you take insurance? 

A: Most insurance plans currently do not provide acupuncture benefits.  Some plans from Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and Harvard Pilgrim do offer coverage.  Please call your insurance company for definite details.  We take insurance if there is appropriate coverage.

Q: What if I have Medicare as my primary insurance and a secondary plan with acupuncture benefits? 

A:  Unfortunately, licensed acupuncturists are not allowed to bill Medicare, and Medicare provides no acupuncture benefits.  We ask that patients pay upfront for the service.  In order to receive reimbursement, the patient must send a claim to Medicare and upon receiving a denial from Medicare, file a claim with his/her secondary insurance to receive payment.
