Acupressure Points for Neck Pain, Back Pain and Asthma Support

Are you experiencing neck pain, back pain, or breathing difficulties? Traditional Chinese medicine offers acupressure techniques that may help support pain management and overall wellness.

At Boston Chinese Acupuncture, we have published a new educational video demonstrating Chong Zi (Double Son), an important acupressure point traditionally used for neck pain, back pain, and respiratory concerns, including asthma and allergies.

What Is the Chong Zi Acupressure Point?

Chong Zi is located on the hand, near the area between the first and second metacarpal bones. In traditional Chinese medicine, this point is commonly used to address:

– Neck pain and stiffness
– Back pain and muscle tension
– Respiratory discomfort associated with asthma and allergies
– General relaxation and well-being

Combining Chong Zi and Ling Gu for Pain Relief

In our latest video, we demonstrate how to locate and gently stimulate the Chong Zi point. We also explain how combining Chong Zi with Ling Gu, another hand acupressure point, is traditionally used to support pain relief and relaxation.

Although acupressure may complement conventional care, evidence for its effectiveness in treating asthma and other respiratory conditions remains limited. It should not replace prescribed medication or professional medical treatment.
