Boca Chinese Acupuncture for Veterans Joined the Weekly Church Activity
Boca Chinese Acupuncture for Veterans joined the weekly activity on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 along with the volunteers of HomeBoca.Org and the First United Methodist Church at 625 NE Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton, FL.
Dr. Li Zheng, a licensed acupuncturist with Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic, provided acupressure treatments to participants and volunteers. Dr. Li was assisted by Ms. Jessica Metzger, CMA, and Boca Chinese Acupuncture for Veterans Directors, Robert Whynot, and Bonnie Pearson. Dr. Li demonstrated how to apply acupressure to relieve stress and help the body to produce more happy hormones such as endorphin and dopamine.
The mission of HomeBoca.Org is “Building Bridges from Homelessness to Wholeness” and to provide limited basic services (showers, meals, laundry) to homeless women and men in Boca Raton, FL and seek to end the cycle of homelessness for those individuals with programs for housing, jobs and transportation.
