Other Causes

Less common causes of infertility include:

Adrenal fatigue: The adrenal glands also can produce small amount of estrogen and progesterone. If your adrenal gland is depleted, it can also influence your ability to conceive. Also your blood pressure and blood sugar will fluctuate a lot and your ability to adjust to the environmental changes will diminish.

Hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian dysfunction: If a woman has been taking birth control pills (BCP) for more than 2 years, she might not ovulate normally and her uterus lining could become too thin or too thick for pregnancy due to the effects of the birth control pills. She could have problems getting pregnant or miscarry after she stops BCP. Furthermore, there may be miscommunication between the hypothalamus, pituitary and ovaries caused by BCP. Then why do some women get pregnant right after they stop BCP, while others have difficulties. The answer depends on your life style and genetic make up. If you eat very unhealthy food and never exercise, or your stress level is too high, or you have other sub-clinical problems, then you need more time to restore the balance in your reproductive system.

Indigestion and anemia: If you take anti-acid medication for a long time, it can cause deficiency of Vitamin B12 and malabsorption of essential amino acid, leading to anemia and poor circulation of uterus.

Low blood pressure: When your blood pressure goes too low, you body will shut down the blood flow to the uterus or ovaries in order to provide enough blood to your brain, heart and other vital organs. You could try to do the following to stabilize your blood pressure. Drink some green tea in the morning two hours after breakfast, avoid simple sugar and eat every 3 to 4 hours Take a nap after your work for more than 5 hours to rejuvenate your adrenal gland because if it is insufficient, your blood pressure can drop. Drink enough water during the day.

Thin uterine lining due to poor circulation: After a large amount of blood loss, the ovarian function can be compromised. If the ovaries do not produce enough estrogen and progesterone to stimulate the uterus lining to grow, the fetus cannot grow properly in the uterus.
